Quick preview for images in assets pane

Our editors have a lot of images in the assetsfolders. Some are almost identical with small edits and so forth making it hard to see which image to use based on the tumbnails.
It would be really helpful if they where able to quickly preview a image in the assets pane. Either by clicking or hovering over the thumbnail.
