Set MyPage.Portrait to extranal url?

I'd like to be able to just use an image url from another site for the MyPage.Portrait, anyway of doing that?

Not natively, but you could add a new attribute (using the plattforms attribute system) to the mypage or the user type of the type string to store the URL in. See section 2.5 in the developers guide and this blog entry for more information on how to add attributes.
