It's not that much difference between EPiServer 5 and 6 regarding this area so it should work if you find the code.
According to http://labs.itera.no/users/1039 you can e-mail him at Anders.Hattestad@iteraconsulting.no and he might have the code available somewhere.

We have editors requesting that inherited values set with dynamic properties be shown in edit mode. The closest help topic I found was at the following address: http://labs.episerver.com/en/Blogs/Anders-Hattestad/Dates/2009/1/Show-value-of-a-inherit-property-in-Edit-mode/
However, this seems to be dated and the code samples are no longer available. Has anyone done something similar or know where to start?
