Upgrade CMS 6 to 7.1 with Relate 2.0

Hi, 

 

I have a small CMS6 site to upgrade to 7.1. It has the Relate 2.0 with 2000 users registered, users are mostly inactive. About 5 pagetypes.

 

The upgrade steps would be 6 to 6R2 to 7.1 and the relate module from 2.0 to 2R2 to 7. Since the site is small I'm conisdering building a new from scratch. 

How would I go about moving the community database users and the users from the asp.net membership db to simplemembership db?

are you saying you will build a new site without episerver community? the members in a relate website is not ordinary asp.net members. Doing a upgrade would probably be easy to perform since it is a rather new site and small as well.
