Search File Summmary Metadata (or another way to search files by language)

Is there a good way to search for the Summary metadata on uploaded files using the SearchDataSource?
I'd like to have files be tagged with the localizations they are for so that searches for a specific language branch can include files which are indicated to have only that language branch.
