Open PDF in Epi tree structure IE8

Hi guys.
I have a problem. When I try to shortcut a page to a PDF in my vpp and try to browse to it in the Episerver tree structure it crashes the browser.
I have tried to change browser mode and set it to IE7 and it works. Is this a known bug for CMS 6 and does anyone have a workaround(except the IE7 mode)?
