Built in DynamicPageProperty does not detect change of property value

I have an editor in a block which uses the built in DynamicPageProperty with a reference to a property value on another page.  When that property value is changed the block with the DynamicPageProperty reference still render the old value until the page cache expires. Is this a bug in the plugin or is there something else I need to do to make it realize the property value has changed?

This sounds like a bug. Are you using MVC or Web Forms on the templates where you have the issue?
