Duplicate assets

Hello, 

I'm currentlly developing a multishop application and i have about 8000 products/variants and all of them have associated image files in the asset tab. Now the ones that i have are under the "small" groupname and i want to duplicate the picture and put it under"newShopName_small". But i noticed i cant add programatically the same commerceMedia file from the product, it just updates it. How can i duplicate the picture(media file) under a different name programatically.

Unfortunately that's not possible because while AssetType and assetkey are used for the primary key, the group name is not.

Any reason you want to duplicate the assets just under new group name?
